Suspended Electromagnet—RCD series

The suspended electromagnet is a kind of iron removing device with DC electric excitation. It is suspended above the moving material at deep layer or the heavy material. And the strong magnetic field generated by the inner coil is used to remove the miscellaneous iron in the material.

The unique design of the high gradient magnetic circuit enables the suspended electromagnet to make full use of the high penetration of the electromagnet to achieve the most effective magnetic field distribution, thus generating the maximum magnetic force density in the selected workspace. The unique magnetic circuit design and advanced manufacturing technology enable the suspended electromagnet could safely, automatically and efficiently remove a large amount of miscellaneous iron from various heavy materials, such as ore, coal, and cement, which are transported by belts, feeder and chute.

Iron removal method

Hang-type electromagnetic iron remover has two options: automatic cleaning (RCDS) and manual cleaning (RCDM).

Automatic cleaning (RCDS)

RCDS type iron remover is equipped with a belt which is effective auto removing mixed iron.The system consists of a rubber belt, a rugged and simple channel steel frame,a reducer motor and transmission mechanism made up with bearing with a seat and adjustable tension wheel.

Manual cleaning (RCDM)

It is suggested that the RCDM type iron remover should be used only in the case of the occasional occurrence of a small amount of miscellaneous iron in the material, since it is necessary to manually clean up the accumulated miscellaneous iron.

Installation mode

Installation mode 1:

the iron remover is mounted above the parabola path where the material is separated from the conveyor belt (belt head). The material processed in the installation scheme moves directly to the surface of the magnet, and its momentum is helpful to the adsorption of the impurity iron. The best installation scheme is to make maximum use of all the magnetic fields of the iron remover. When the belt speed is slower (line speed 100 m / min) the path of the material falling is close to the vertical direction, the position of the iron remover must be moved backward in order to be closer to the pulley. For low-speed applications, non-magnetic pulleys may be necessary.

Installation mode 2:

the iron remover is installed on the top of the material conveying, the moving direction of the belt is vertical to the direction of the material conveyor, This type of installation is not suitable for situations with high speed.
