Wet Drum Magnetic Separator

The HMCS type magnetic separator is used for recovering the magnetic heavy medium (ferroferric oxide or ferrosilicon) in the heavy medium separation production process, which is suitable for the condition where the magnetic mineral concentration is high and the demand of magnetic mineral loss is very low, especially in the coal washing and processing industry. It can automatically and continuously recover magnetite from heavy media operations and select ferromagnetic and weakly magnetic ores.

 

Characteristics of Drum Magnetic Separator

Demagnetization rate is low. LUSENT unique magnetic technology ensure the 50 years demagnetization rate less than 1% and lifetime warranty.

By High magnetic field gradient design and the most moderate field strength, it is ensured that the large magnetic strength in the separation area, which is a strong guarantee of high recovery rate. It is also ensured that the recovered concentrate has no residual magnetism before entering the next procedure, which guarantees the true density of the qualified medium, and there is no negative affect on the recovery rate of the selected coal.

Small power and low energy consumption which is lower 20% t larger than other domestic products of the same type.

The low rotation speed that is 8-9 rotations per minute (HMCS-6) and 6-7 rotations (HMCS-7) per minute. The domestic minimum rotation speed is doubled at least, thus prolonging the service life of the complete machine and its vulnerable parts.

The structure is simple and the driving mechanism is from the most reliable supporting manufacturer, which guarantees a small amount of maintenance.

Counter Rotation Wet Drum Magnetic Separator

The machine is mainly composed of magnetic system, drum shell,drum wrap, drive system, tank and frame.

The magnetic system is made of a unique proportion of magnetic materials.The maximum demagnetization rate of 50 years can be guaranteed no more than 1% after the system is magnetized by the special charger.

The standard wear-resistant drum wrap is composed of 304-stainless steel. This lengthens the wear-resistance and service life of the wrap to the greatest extent.

The drum shell of thickness is 4mm, which aims to seal magnetic system. The drum wrap is to protect the drum shell. That is to wrap a 304-stainless steel skin of thickness 2mm around the drum shell.When the drum wrap is worn, we just replace it. So the maintenance operation cost is reduced to the minimal extent.The service life of LUSENT'S drum wrap is generally 2 to 5 years.

The motor of the drive system adopts the IP55 protection standard. The reducer, bearing, seal ring and so on all adopt the international famous brand.The bearing adopts the double row self-position ball type, for which the inspection and the replacement can be done without disassembling the drum body, and the grease can be injected into the bearing in operation.

The magnetic system design adopts magnetic elements of 750 Gauss alternately arranged. The HMCS-6 magnetic system consists of six main poles and five  inter poles which forming a fan-shaped magnetic field of 132 degrees on the magnetic drum. HMCS-7 magnetic system is available, which consists of seven main poles and six inter poles

Heavy medium recovery rate

According to the process requirement recommended by LUSENT Company, the HMCS magnetic separator can ensure that the magnetic content of tailing is less than 0.26 kg/m3(usually less than 0.13kg/m3).

Iron content was measured by extracting 4L from raw ore and tailing. The recovery rate is calculated according to the following acceptance formula:

iron content in tailing / iron content in raw ore is less than or equal to (Tailing recovery)%

LUSENT guarantees the following heavy medium recovery rate: when the heavy medium content in the slurry is in the range of 87-130kg/m3, the heavy medium recovery rate is greater than 99.7%; in the range of 130-260kg/m3, the recovery rate is greater than 99.8% and the recovery rate is greater than 99.9%;more than 260kg/m3 , the recovery rate is greater than 99.9%.
