The sorting of minerals is often based on the density differences of different minerals, using a certain medium to separate different minerals. The sorting equipment in the gravity field includes jigs, shallow trough sorting machines, shaking tables, etc. In a jigger, materials are mainly sorted in a variable speed medium flow with vertical lifting, according to density differences. The particle size and shape of the materials also have a certain impact on the sorting effect.
The medium used in jigging can be water or air. When water is used as the sorting medium, it is called hydraulic jigging, when air is used as the sorting medium, it is called wind jigging. The commonly used hydraulic jigs currently include diaphragm jigs, air pulsating jigs, and moving screen jigs. Diaphragm jigs are more commonly used in non-coal mines such as gold mines, while air pulsating jigs and moving screen jigs are more commonly used in coal mines. In addition, there are many cases of using wind power jigging to separate coal in cold or water scarce areas.
Due to the large mining and processing capacity of coal, and the fact that coal jigs are mainly used for gangue discharge, the large-scale use of jigs was mainly in the coal industry before the large-scale promotion and application of heavy medium sorting equipment. The usage of jigs in non-coal mining areas was relatively small. In addition, to adapt to the large-scale development of mines, for large capacity jigs, the under-screen air chamber jigs have a significant advantage over the side screen air chamber jigs.
Foreign Brand
The foreign brands of jigs mainly include BATAC jigs and Allmineral jigs from Germany, NU type jigs from Nagata in Japan, and Pick type coal powder jigs from France.
Among them, the BATAC jig was developed by KHD in Germany, and its application feedback is relatively good in both coal mining and non-coal mining fields such as iron ore and gold mine. Especially in Russia, the BATAC jig is still favored to this day. The maximum specification of the BATAC jig is 7m wide and 6.2m long, with a jigging area of 92m2. It can process 100-1mm raw coal at a processing capacity of 1000t/h.
Chinese Brand
Chinese brand jigs are mainly introduced from three aspects, namely coal hydraulic jigs, non-coal jigs, and wind jigs.
For coal hydraulic jigs, China successfully developed 10m2 and 6m2 industrial sieve air chamber jigs in the 1960s. After the 1980s, CCTEG Tangshan Research Institute developed a large area SKT-24m2 air chamber jig under the screen. After 2010, there were more and more heavy medium coal preparation equipment, and the market for jigs was constantly compressed. Currently, the main brand in China that can do a good job in hydraulic jigs is CCTEG Tangshan Research Institute.
In addition, for the moving screen jig, due to its high civil construction cost, its application in the field of coal sorting has been very limited in the past decade. This article will not provide further introduction.
For non-coal use jigs, BATAC jigs are more commonly used in China, and Chinese owned brand equipment has not been effectively developed. If Chinese brand factories that believe they have strength can produce better jigs and can establish contact with Buttress Roots, we will update relevant information.
For wind power jigs, they are widely used in the coal industry, with the main brand being Tangshan Shenzhou Machinery. In recent decades, they have been deeply cultivated and researched in this field, and the hourly processing capacity of related equipment can reach 1000-1200 tons. Due to their modular nature, installation and construction are relatively fast, and they have strong adaptability in water scarce and cold areas. In the past decade, Tangshan Shenzhou Machinery has also achieved good results in expanding into foreign markets and has gained recognition from more users.
BUTTRESS ROOTS will provide the latest brand collection and supply to global mining users.
